If you look through Himmelriket's discography, you'll see a pattern of vibrant nature photos, with ultra-kvlt music. Listeners of APP are no strangers to Nattesorg's projects, and you know about what to expect here. The difference with Himmelriket is subtle, but undeniable - it's "brighter". More treble, less murkiness, less outright aggression (getting almost doomy at points!) It's still "raw Norwegian black metal" but presented in a very unconventional way. Any fan of innovative and experimental music should check this out -- maybe turning their volume down a bit first?!

Can't really think of other bands that sound like this. Obvious names like Mayhem and Darkthrone come to mind, but this is a very experimental take on that style.
