+ About this release +
Hailing from Honduras, in the city of San Pedro Sula (the "murder capital of the world"), this one-man band put out some of the darkest, strangest music I've ever heard. First released in 2014, this is one of Betheos' more experimental albums. Mostly composed of obscure, dreamlike ambience, these sections occasionally give way to (equally obscure) raw, atmospheric black metal. Whether you like Christian themes in these genres or not, this is an album undeniably made with the truest, kvltest of attitudes, and more people in the underground should be aware of this. Note that while this description can basically be copy-pasted from the self-titled, "Ruach Hakodesh" generally has a bit of a brighter atmosphere to it, while the self-titled is darker in tone.
In terms of Christian bands, fans of Flaskavsae, Heztael, Ancient Pilgrim, Exalted Saviour, or Taakeland (ex-Dvale) would probably enjoy this.
In terms of secular bands, fans of Vinterriket, Astral Luminous, Depressive Silence, Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra, or Alrakis would probably enjoy this.
