This is a retouched version of "Depiction..." from 2011. At its very core is what you'd expect from the cover art. Black metal blasts, and an introspective atmosphere. But take into account the electronic instrumentation; the medieval, borderline folky ambience; the subtle atmosphere that calls to mind "pagan/folk metal" more than black metal; are there gothic touches to this?? ... this truly is something all its own.

AND STILL - what makes this truly special [and exciting for me to share with you] is not just that it's "different". It's that it WORKS. It takes all these ideas and - doesn't just mash them together, but carefully weaves them into something cohesive, listenable, and intriguing.

Literally the only thing I can compare this to is Qntal. If you've ever heard them and wanted a "metal version", here you go!! For illustrative purposes, I guess if you like secular bands like Summoning, Drudkh, or Kroda, you might enjoy this as well... still, best to take this on its own and not compare too much!
